Isuzu max run challenge

Isuzu has just completed a three day drive which was held between Vijaywada and Mumbai from 23rd September to 25th September, 2014. In this driving event, the Isuzu D-Max pic-up truck was driven for more than 1,000 km in one full tank.

With GPS telemetry system tracking the travelled distance in real time, the D-Max achieved an average fuel efficiency of 18.3 kmpl.

Pick-up trucks account for 35% of the total commercial vehicle sales in India and highlighting the efficiency of the D-Max seems to be of utmost importance for Isuzu. The D-Max is powered by a 2.5L, 4-cylinder, intercooled and turbocharged diesel engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox which produces 134 BHP of power and 294 Nm of torque. The D-Max can carry a payload of 1.2 tonne and has a 76 litre fuel tank. The D-Max is available in a single cab as well as space cab versions with an option of both flat and arched deck.
