Lexus could be planning to launch a luxury MPV in the Indian market. The brand in the near future is likely to introduce the Lexus LM350h in India. The company has filed patents for the ‘LM350h’ at the intellectual property office in India. This leads us to believe that the brand is likely to bring the luxury car to our market. If this turns out to be true, Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Toyota, will position the LM350h above the Toyota Vellfire in the Indian market. Currently, the Vellfire comes to Indian shores via the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route and comes with a price tag of INR 89.90 ex-showroom.
The Lexus LM350h comes with an imposing spindle grille that takes up most of the real estate on the front fascia. Sleek LED headlamps flank the chrome finish grille with the signature Lexus LED DRLs. The car also comes with round foglights with chrome inserts. Chrome elements continue on the MPV’s side sills and on the tailgate, which features wraparound taillamps. The MPV also features an impressive glasshouse along with chrome embellishments. The Lexus LM350h also comes with dual sunroofs, and multispoke alloy wheels finished in chrome.
The Lexus LM350h comes with a 7-seater and 4-seater layout. The brand is likely to offer the MPV in the 7-seater layout in the Indian market. The interiors come with wood ornamentation and leather seat upholstery. The car also gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and semi-digital instruments. The brand also offers a premium sound system with the luxury MPV. The 4-seater model comes with a partition in the cabin, separating the front row from the rear. The model also gets a 26-inch rear-seat entertainment system, ventilated seats and a mini-fridge.
Powering the LM350h is a 2.5-litre petrol engine with a hybrid assist system. The engine comes with an 8-speed gearbox.
