Interiors of new Mercedes-AMG SL teased

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Mercedes-Benz will be revealing the new Mercedes-AMG SL in a little over six days from now. But the brand has given us a glimpse of what the new SL will look like on the inside. The Mercedes-AMG SL will come with innovative tilting infotainment screens which help cut glare when the top is down. Now the brand has also revealed a wide image of the dashboard of the new SL.

Mercedes-AMG SL – Interiors and Features

The Mercedes-AMG SL will come with a wide multilayered dashboard. The dashboard comes with typical rounded air conditioning vents. The car also comes with a bridge-type central armrest with a large infotainment system, similar to the one we saw in the new S Class. The infotainment system is placed vertically and a blue ambient light encompasses the entire dashboard. The brand also offers a flat-bottomed steering wheel with new-generation buttons. The instruments cluster comes with a fully digital console that offers all the parameters of the roadster.

Mercedes-AMG SL – Powertrain

Details of the Mercedes-AMG SL powertrain are still scarce. But speculation is that the power unit will channel the energy to all the wheels using an advanced 4Matic four-wheel-drive system. Also, the brand is likely to shelve the V8 motor and replace it with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with electric assist. The combined output of the powertrain is likely to be around 578 Hp of power. The power unit is also likely to come with a high-performance 9-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz will reveal all the details of the vehicle on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 4:00 PM.
