Vazirani Automotive has revealed a new electric hypercar in the Indian market. The brand is one of the country’s most innovative startups. Vazirani has now announced that the company is launching the fastest and lightest hypercar, dubbed the Vazirani Ekonk. “Ekonk in the Indian scriptures signifies the beginning of the divine light.” According to the brand, Vazirani derives the name Ekonk from the Big Bang. The Ekonk signifies the beginning of the divine light from the Indian scriptures.
The brand’s head honcho, Chunky Vazirani, says that “It’s our first vehicle that’s ‘alive’.” Chunky Vazirani, after working for prestigious brand’s such as Jaguar and Rolls Royce, moved to Mumbai and founded Vazirani in 2015. Vazirani Automotive aims to put India on the map of next-generation electric vehicles and technology. The brand has already taken the first step by launching the Vazirani Shul at the Goodwood Festival in the U.K. The car earned the recognition of building the first HyperCar of India.
The Vazirani Ekonk will give the world a new single-seater hypercar with an electric powertrain. The brand has revealed that the Vazirani Ekonk will be a spaceship looking car and boasts of being the fastest ever built in India and the fastest accelerating vehicle in the world. Vazirani has also revealed that the brand will be using BioMimicry on its vehicles to enhance the technology. For example, the brand will replace the age-old liquid-cooled method for battery packs with DiCo technology. The technology will be similar to how animals and humans use breathing to regulate their body
temperature. This will help the battery pack to be lighter, faster, safer and cost-effective.
According to the brand, the Vazirani Ekonk is also one of the most aerodynamically efficient vehicles. The car weighs just 738 kg and comes with an electric powertrain that is capable of producing around 722 Hp of power. This means that the vehicle comes with almost a 1:1 power to weight ratio. The vehicle has been developed entirely by Vazirani Automotive and tested at the NATRAX facility in Indore. The car is capable of achieving 0-100kmph in a mere 2.54 seconds. It is also capable of achieving a top speed of 309 kmph. The brand has revealed that the learnings from the Ekonk will go into the production-spec Shul.
