‘Porsche Studio’ has finally been launched in India. This is one of the premium showrooms from the German sports car maker which is aimed to enhance the customer’s car buying experience by introducing a host of customisable options. Only 14 of these showrooms are present all across the world and now it has found its place in New Delhi’s Connaught Place. These showrooms are very different from the regular ‘Porsche Centre’ showrooms which are already located in Gurugram, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kochi.
This showroom is built to provide a very calm and pleasant ambience to its customers so that they could configure their vehicles as and how they like. The high-tech digital tools also aid to add a plethora of customizable options which are available in the global markets. The company’s in-house customisation division – ‘Exclusive Manufaktur’ has also been added which have a lot of bespoke options for the alloy wheels, vehicle keys, cabin trimmings, exhaust tips and more. The customer lounge is also designed in a very welcoming manner which will encourage customers to spend more time inside the showroom so that they take their time to explore the options and decide what they like the most. The inclusion of a large touch screen display helps in configuring their vehicles including body colour, suspensions, brakes, seat belt, instrument dials and more.
The ‘Trimming Lab’ showcases all the possible paint shades and cabin upholstery colours so that the customers can mix and match as per their liking and preferences. A section has been dedicated as ‘Porsche Heritage’ which will reflect on the history of the company and its design philosophy which is still carried forward in the cars of today’s generation. Porsche has also granted permission to test drive and purchase vehicles from this showroom.
Porsche India has some notable launches scheduled for 2021 of which Taycan, the company’s first all-electric vehicle is expected to hit the Indian roads very soon. The other cars which are lined up for their launches include the Panamera sedan, the Macan, Cayenne, Cayenne Coupe SUVs and the 718 and 911 sports cars.
