MG Motor India has reiterated and utilized its commitment to integrating AI technology in all its vehicles. The automaker has partnered with AI-powered startup CamCom to enable image-based vehicle inspection and automated assessment of cars during service. The AI-based solution aims to reduce operation times at MG service centers and provide greater transparency to customers. In 2020, CamCom had participated in a pilot project as part of the ‘MG Developer Program and Grant’. This unique platform encouraged developers and innovators to build new technology applications and experiences for MG’s product line-up.
MG has partnered with CamCom to assess defects and damage along with implementing their technologies and solutions for their workshops. Via its MG Developer Program (MGDP) and Grant, the company has provided 184 entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their innovations. The unique platform meant for developers provides opportunities to startups for categories like EVs, components, navigation technologies, and connected mobility. Along with AI, MG has partnered with startups to integrate their future technologies into their cars.
MG Motor India recently announced its ‘Saarthi Program’ initiative to train chauffeurs hired by MG customers. The automaker has partnered with the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) for the certification purposes of its new program. The initiative teaches chauffeurs about the advanced technologies and high-tech features offered on the latest vehicles offered by MG. The ‘Saarthi Program aims to offer an enhanced, smarter, and safer experience for both the chauffeurs and the vehicle owners. MG owners can register and sign-up their chauffeurs for the program using the company’s website for free.
MG has set a target of training 1,000 chauffeurs in the next two months and 10,000 by March 2022. The program includes practical and theoretical lessons on the advanced technologies found on MG vehicles utilizing its CASE vision. Using the Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric (CASE) vision, the automaker drives itself forward in the Indian automotive industry. ‘Saarthi Program’ includes teachings related to the latest developments related to various safe vehicle operations and road safety techniques.
