Hyundai’s i20 Rally Car for 2016 WRC

Hyundai is all geared up again for their 4th World Rally Championship season and have showcased their i20 Rally Car that would be used by the same team of drivers.

Attending all the 14 races of the upcoming season, Dani Sordo, Hayden Paddon, and Thierry Neuville are confirmed for a full 2016 season with Hyundai Motorsport and the new i20 WRC.

Based on the latest generation of the i20 the five door new car has undergone a rigorous testing schedule, clocking up over 8,000 km, and the manufacturer is confident the new model will prove them with a stronger challenge in 2016. With a 1.6L turbocharged petrol motor under the hood and a Magneti Marelli SRG ECU, the egnine would be producing an interesting 300 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque figures. ON gravel, i20 would be using 15″ Michelin Latitude Cross Tires and while for on road rallies it will be fitted with 18″ Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

World Rally Championship 2016 first race would be taking place next month in Monte Carlo where Hyundai would try to make the best out of their new car.
