The South Korean car manufacturer is reportedly finalising the launch of its new micro SUV. Codenamed AX1, this car will position itself below the Venue and take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Mahindra KUV100, Renault Kwid and more. Given the rising demand for SUVs in the market, AX1 will surely sell in good numbers if Hyundai prices it correctly.

There is no official statement from Hyundai about the details of the car. But, we understand that the car has three engine options to choose from. The 1.2-litre four-pot and 1.1-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.0-litre turbo petrol. Let’s see which one Hyundai chooses. In terms of features, being a Hyundai, we expect that the car will come with all the latest tech. We won’t be surprised if Hyundai adds some segment-first features as well.
