Hyundai reveals Tucson facelift with 4WD at Auto Expo 2020

Hyundai has unveiled the new 2020 facelift model of the Tucson at the Auto Expo 2020. The brand claims that the 2020 Hyundai Tucson comes loaded with first-in-segment features and a best-in-class BS6 compliant diesel engine. The Hyundai Tuscon is slated for launch in March and will compete with the likes of the Jeep Compass. 

On the exterior, the 2020 Hyundai Tucson features, a cascade grille design, Penta-Projector LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, faux skid plate on the bumper, layered bumper with fog lamps and a raised muscular bonnet. From the profile, the new Tucson comes with flared wheel arches, a new alloy wheel design and at the back, it gets LED taillights and twin-tipped exhaust. 

In the engine department, the 2020 Hyundai Tucson comes in two engine options a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 152PS of power and 192Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed torque converter type automatic gearbox. Another powerplant is a 2.0-litre diesel which churns out the best-in-segment 185PS of power and 400Nm of torque mated to an 8-speed torque converter type automatic gearbox. The Hyundai Tucson is offered in two trim levels – GL Option and GLS. The SUV is also available with an all-wheel-drive drivetrain but is only offered on the top-spec GLS diesel trim. 

On the interiors, the 2020 Hyundai Tucson features a black interior theme with a leather touch on the dashboard. The 2020 Tucson also features an all-new 8-inch Touchscreen Infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Hyundai iblue and Voice Recognition system. The car also comes with advanced Infinity Premium Speakers and Hyundai Blue Link. The new facelift model features a refreshed dashboard with a new centre console and new air-conditioning vents. The SUV also features an 8-way adjustable passenger seat and a panoramic sunroof. 

For safety, the 2020 Hyundai Tucson’s body features 70% High Strength Steel (AHSS + HSS) and is equipped with, seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters, 6 airbags, side curtain airbag, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control, Brake Assist, front and rear parking sensors and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).
