Hyundai to refresh 4 SUVs for India in 2024

Hyundai is planning to refresh its SUV line-up for 2024. This may also include the introduction of the Creta based full-electric SUV. Also, the Creta, Alcazar and Tucson SUVs are likely to get new additions for 2024.

Hyundai Creta Facelift

The Hyundai Creta facelift is lined-up for its world debut in January 2024. Like the current Creta, the facelift model is also likely to get a good response from SUV lovers. The Creta facelift is likely to come with a new front fascia and tail section. Also, the SUV is likely to offer more features compared to the current model. It is also likely to incorporate ADAS features, improving the safety quotient of the car. Hyundai is also likely to add the 1.5-litre TGDi (turbo-petrol) motor to the engine line-up.

Hyundai Alcazar

Creta’s three-row derivative, the Alcazar is also likely to receive upgrades following the 5-seater SUV. The test mules of the Alcazar have already made it to the internet, however, details on the changes in the design front are still scarce. Expect a new front fascia and tail section. Also, the interior equipment is likely to get upgrades in terms of colours and features. However, speculation is that the engine line-up is likely to remain the same. The brand is already using the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine on the Alcazar.

Hyundai Tucson

Hyundai recently took the wraps off the updated premium Tucson SUV in the international market. While exterior changes remain minimal, the interiors of the SUV are new. The new Tucson comes with a new dashboard, new steering wheel and new displays. The SUV also comes with new physical air-conditioning controls. Hyundai is not likely to change the engine line-up on the new Tucson, even though the Tucson abroad comes with mild and plug-in hybrid options.

Hyundai Creta EV

Based on the current Creta, the full-electric model is currently said to be under testing. The exteriors and interiors of the Creta EV are likely to be similar to ICE vehicle, except for some distinguishing elements. It is likely to come with a 45 kWh battery pack and share its motor with the entry-spec Kona electric. Upon launch the Creta EV will compete with the MG ZS EV in India.
