Hyundai’s luxury arm, Genesis, has teased a new wagon version of the G70 Sedan. Earlier reports suggested that Genesis was working on a shooting brake model, and now with official teasers, the brand confirms that a new model will come soon.
According to the teaser, the G70 sedan will come with a longer roof. The long roof also integrates a long spoiler and features a sharply raked rear windscreen. The teaser only shows the car in parts, and there isn’t an entire picture of the G70 Wagon. The brand has also wrapped the G70 Wagon in camouflaged wraps, hiding the character line of the car.
But, the picture does reveal that the styling will follow the lines of the G70. The wagon will borrow the headlights and taillight design from the G70 and gets oval exhaust outlets. The lower bumper of the wagon appears similar to the G70 as well. The shooting brake model also features a rear wash and wipe to keep the windscreen tidy.
While pictures of the GV70 Wagon are scarce, the car is likely to come with a multilayered dashboard with soft-touch materials and a 10.25-inch infotainment display. The G70 Wagon will also come with premium finish trim materials, leather seating and more.
Powering the Genesis G70 Wagon is likely to be a 2.5-litre engine that pumps out 290 Hp of power and 420 Nm of torque. Another 3.3-litre V6 engine will also do duty when the car arrives in the US market. However, the brand has also teased the G70 Wagon on its European social media sites as well. It is important to note that Wagons do not sell very well on that side of the planet.
