Hyundai Motor India Ltd has announced its September 2022 sales figure. The company registered domestic sales of 49,700 units and export sales of 13,501 units. Thus, the cumulative sales stood at 63,201 units for the month of September 2022.
Given the excellent resilience shown by the Indian economy over the last few quarters, the sales are back to the pre-Covid levels. Further, the onset of the festive season has fueled the demand momentum. All three new launches, Hyundai VENUE, VENUE N Line, and TUCSON in the SUV space, have received an overwhelming customer response. Interestingly, India’s most loved SUV – CRETA, still continues to reign supreme in the mid-SUV space. In fact, the SUV commanded an increase of 36 per cent in bookings for the month of September over last year. Hyundai is taking all the efforts to delight its customers with improved deliveries during this auspicious period.
In the recent launch of the Hyundai Tucson, the most highlighted part was the ADAS features. With a host of their titles in the segment now getting ADAS enabled, Hyundai, too, is joining the bandwagon. As per recent reports, we could very well see the ADAS kit with the upcoming updated Creta as well. This will make the SUV even more appealing to customers.
ADAS does add a more premium touch to the overall package. In addition to this, it also adds to the overall safety aspect of the car. More importantly, we could also see this ADAS kit with the upcoming Hyundai Verna as well. If all goes well, ADAS could very well become a mainstream feature in the mass market segments. Hyundai is already a pioneer in the Indian automotive industry. And this time, Hyundai made this bold move of making ADAS in the mass market cars. Very soon, we could see more manufacturers join in, thus, making ADAS a pretty common feature for most of the cars sold in India.
