Hyundai reveals rear design of Exter SUV

The launch of the Hyundai Exter is set for July 10. Until then, Hyundai has been teasing new details about the upcoming Tata Punch rival. Recently, Hyundai officially revealed the rear design of the Exter.

Hyundai Exter Rear Design Highlights

The most distinguishing element which we make of the Exter’s rear design is a thick black trim. This spans the tailgate and connects the squarish LED tail lamps at both ends. The black contrasting trim makes use of a textured finish. Then we have the Hyundai logo positioned at the centre. Similar to the LED daytime running lamps up front, the tail lamps too have an ‘H’ lighting signature.

Upon first look, the Exter seems quite upright from the rear. With a well-sculpted tailgate housing the number plate, the  Exter looks solid from the rear. The rear bumper too gets a dual-tone look with black cladding. We also see a very prominent faux silver skid plate. The rear reflectors find their place within the cladding.

Hyundai Exter Powertrain Options

Exter will share its underpinnings with the Grand i10 Nios and the Aura. Thus, the Exter will get a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This motor makes 83 HP and 114Nm of peak torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual or an AMT unit. The Exter will also come in CNG-spec with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai Exter Key Features

As of now, Hyundai has not revealed the interiors of the Exter. But the company has confirmed several features that will come with the Exter. Of all, the most talked about feature is a dashcam with dual cameras and a 2.31-inch display. We have seen this on the Venue N Line as well. Exeter will also get 6 airbags as standard and an electric sunroof on higher trims. Other key features include ESC, a 3-point seat belt, hill assist control, seatbelt reminder for all seats, connected car, and features keyless entry. Talking of safety, we will get ABS with EBD, automatic headlamps, hill assist control, and a rear parking camera.

Hyundai has also revealed that the Exter will come with five trims. These are namely, EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect.

Hyundai Exter Rivals Details
