At the ongoing New York Motor Show, Hyundai has revealed the 2019 Tucson. A facelift to the existing model, expect the new Tucson to come to India sometime in 2019. When launched, the Tucson will continue to rival the likes of Jeep Compass. The Tucson hasn’t really been as popular as the cheaper sibling, the Creta here in India, but is still holding ground with decent sales figures as per segment standards.
Expect mechanicals to remain the same on the India-spec Tucson, as and when the facelift arrives. It should continue with the 2.0L 185 HP diesel and 2.0L 155 HP petrol motor. The Tucson comes in 2WD & 4WD variants.
For markets abroad, the new Tucson is going to benefit with multiple new features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, driver attention warning, 360 degree camera, high beam assist, adaptive cruise control and the likes. There will also be a new 8.0-inch Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.
Cosmetic changes includes new LED headlamps, new bumpers, new grille, new alloy wheels, more use of chrome and a refreshed dashboard layout.
