Hyundai planning more N-Line sporty models for India

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Hyundai in 2021 introduced its first N-Line model the Hyundai i20 N-Line in the Indian market. In 2022, Hyundai also introduced the Venue with N-Line features. Now, the brand could be planning to introduce yet another N-Line model in the Indian market, thanks to its popularity.

Reports suggest that Hyundai could introduce the new Creta in the N-Line avatar later this year. Introduction of the new N-Line variant will help the brand capitalise on its sales numbers, targeting a wider range of enthusiasts. In addition to this third N-Line model, Hyundai is also likely to bring several more N-Line models in the near future.

Hyundai Creta N-Line – Design Speculation

The Hyundai Creta N-Line is likely to come with new front and rear bumpers. The bumpers are likely to get red accented lips and sporty splitter styling. The Creta is also likely to come with a sporty roof spoiler, side skirts and N-Line style diffuser. Expect an N-Line specific grille, N-Line badges all around and brushed aluminium parts.

On the inside, the Creta N-Line is likely to come with red accents all around. The sporty accents are likely to be on the dashboard as well as the upholstery as well as the door cards. In addition to this, expect an N-Line specific steering wheel and gear shifter. The seats on the N-Line are also likely to be sportier than what is offered on the standard versions.

Hyundai Creta N-Line – Engine Speculations

Hyundai is likely to offer the Creta N-Line with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 Hp of power and 253 Nm of torque. The engine is likely to come with two gearbox options a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT with paddle shifters. The brand is also likely to tune the suspension for a sportier ride and  the steering feedback is also likely to be sportier than standard.

Currently, Hyundai is retailing the i20 N-Line and the Venue N-Line in the Indian market. Both the N-Line models have achieved a combined sales of around 10,000 units in 2023.
