2020 Hyundai Verna revealed for India, bookings open at INR 25,000

Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced that the brand has started accepting bookings on the new Hyundai Verna online through their website and at all Hyundai dealerships across the country with a booking amount of INR 25,000. 

The new Hyundai Verna is a mid-size sedan and features a large chrome grille with chain-link-like mesh, an LED headlamp with an integrated C-shaped LED daytime running light, projector fog lamps with triangular surrounds on the bumper, a splitter effect on the lower bumper, sloping bonnet with crease lines, alloy wheels, ORVM integrated turn signal lamps, chrome window sills, chrome door handles, wrap-around tail lights with integrated LED, chrome embellishment on the lower part on the rear bumper with red reflectors and a diffuser effect. The roof has a shark-fin antenna an electrically operated sunroof and the roofline slopes down into the deck of the boot giving it a sporty coupe effect.  

On the inside, the new Verna will get several first in segment features such as a digital colour TFT driver’s information cluster, front ventilated seats, smart trunk, emergency stop signal, wireless phone charging, luggage nets and hooks, rear USB charger, Arkamys sound system. The infotainment system on the new Verna now comes with Advanced BlueLink connected features which the brand claims to be the country’s first Fully Connected Mid-Size Sedan. The Advanced BlueLink has over 45 connected features for the Verna and over 50 features in the brand’s upcoming SUV Creta. The features include car connectivity and control through a mobile phone app and also integrates major Smartwatch operating systems. In the engine department, the new Hyundai Verna will come with a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission). A 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter type automatic and a 1.0-litre Turbocharged Gasoline Diesel injection TGDi engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
