Hyundai India has launched the 2018 Creta facelift SUV in India today at prices starting from INR 9.43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Creta continues to be offered in 3 engine options which includes 1.6L petrol, 1.4L diesel and 1.6L diesel. The Creta is the most popular and successful SUV in the segment with over 4 lakh happy customers till date, and it now comes with new features and styling changes.
Changes on the 2018 Hyundai Creta on the exteriors include a new front grille with more chrome, reprofiled headlamps, new fog lamps, new LED DRLs, new front & rear bumpers, more body cladding, new alloy wheels, reprofiled tail lamps, reprofiled tail gate, dual tone paint options and new orange and blue paint shade. Projector headlamps are no bi-functional and the A-pillar is now in a glossy finish.
Inside things haven’t changed much with the layout being similar. However, the equipment additions include new electric sunroof, AVN display with IPS display, cruise control, electric driver seat, wireless charging, smart key band, front seat belt with pretensioner, electrochromic mirror, and reworked seat upholstery. The 2018 Hyundai Creta comes with dual front airbags, ABS and driver seat height adjust & front sliding arm rest as standard equipment.
Engines remain unchanged as well. The 2018 Creta gets a 1.4L diesel motor which is the smallest and produces 90 HP of power. The 1.6L petrol motor produces 123 HP of power while the 1.6L diesel is the most powerful producing 128 HP of power. The 1.4L diesel engine comes paired only to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the 1.6L petrol and diesel engines come with an option of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Automatic variants as you can see in the price list above are not available in the top trim.
