Hyundai Elite i20 photo gallery

The Hyundai Elite i20 is more European to look at
At the front, with the fluidic sculpture 2.0, the car looks significantly different from the outgoing model
At the rear, the wrap around tail lamps make the car look wider
From the side, the car now appears to be more low slung with respect to the overall stance. Blackened B & C pillar render a sporty look.
Front three quarter
Rear three quarter
Shoulder crease line runs all the way from the headlamp to the tail lamp
No spoiler on the Elite i20. Expect it to be available in the aftermarket soon.
The bonnet is large and has subtle character lines here
The swept back headlamps and a large hexagonal front grille make the car appear to be wider
The headlamp is now a single pot unit, unlike the twin pot on the outgoing model. Fog lamp is a trapezoidal unit and LED DRLs are not available.
Close look at the headlamp
Close look at the fog lamp
Large hexagonal font grille has a honeycomb effect and gets a chrome surround
Bonnet shut line is more on top, rather than on the front (face)
16" diamond cut alloy wheels fill up the wheel well neatly
The car gets side body mouldings in black and are not as chunky as seen on the Grand i10
ORVMs get integrated turn indicators
True keyless entry. Driver and passenger door gets a request sensor to unlock the car.
Blackened C pillar is a neat design element. Adds that little more to the cars character.
3-step, wrap around tail lamps
Variant nomenclature under the RHS tail lamp. Engine tag on the boot lid now even for the petrol (VTVT).
Reverse camera is now exposed, under the Hyundai logo at the back
Only one reversing lamp, on the RHS of the bumper
Interiors are a big step up from the outgoing model and look plush
Dual tone beige and black interior theme
Steering wheel is identical to the Grand i10 / Xcent except for the chrome surround on the horn pad. Also, steering controls are different here.
On the left hand side of the steering, you get volume rocker, track toggle switch, mute, MID mode and bluetooth telephony controls
On the RHS you get the MID toggle switch
Instrument cluster is backlit in white and gets a MID between the tachometer and speedometer. Fuel and temperature gauge have a digital display.
The segment favourite feature, engine start-stop button
LHS control stalk for the wiper, now with intermittent speed adjustment
RHS stalk for the automatic headlamps and front and rear fog lamps
Centre console looks very premium. There is no doubt this will be the segment benchmark.
Stereo system gets bluetooth, aux-in, CD, USB and 1 GB of storage space. XL size buttons make it very user friendly. AC vents on top have decent adjustment range.
Top spec variants come equipped with fully automatic climate control
Two charging points below the AC controls and the Aux-in and USB slot in between them
Front seats have a bucket like feel and provide good support all around. Black and beige combination however would be a pain to maintain in the long run.
Front door pad has space for a 1 litre bottle and houses the power window and ORVM controls
Gear lever is short and so are the gear throws. Fits perfectly in your hand and the leather wrap feels premium.
Driver gets a centre armrest, but a short one
Storage space under the front centre armrest
Two cup holders next to the handbrake
Instrument cluster illumination intensity and headlamp leveler control to the RHS of the steering
Pedals are well spaced out and a dead pedal is offered as well. Also seen in this picture is the bonnet opening lever and the fuse box to its left.
Rear view mirror is an electrochromic unit and houses the display for the reverse camera. A software glitch seen here, the parking display was inverted.
Rear seats try and provide that little extra under thigh support with the subtle extensions on either sides (not for 5th occupant). Even the rear seats have a bucket like feel for two, while the 5th occupant has a slightly raised seatback.more
Rear AC vent. No charging point below the vents as seen on the Grand i10.
Rear door pad also gets a bottle holder
285 litres of boot space
