Hyundai Creta goes DARK with new Knight Edition

Hyundai is planning to launch the Knight edition of the popular Creta SUV in the Indian market. The special edition model comes with an all-black theme that cosmetically enhances the SUV on the exteriors as well as the interiors. However, the brand has not made any mechanical changes to the new Creta Knight. The Creta Knight will also help the brand bridge the gap between the current model and the upcoming facelift, which is likely to be launched in the near future.

Hyundai Creta Knight Edition – Changes and Features

The Hyundai Creta Knight Edition comes with features such as an all-black paint theme with red accents on the grille. The grille also features a dark chrome finish which continues to the front skid plate that comes with a glossy black finish. The alloy wheels are finished in a black metal colour with a red finish brake callipers. The Creta Knight Edition also features a special KNIGHT badge on the tailgate. The door sills on the Knight edition are also finished in black, including the ORVMs and roof rails.

Speculation is that the Knight edition is likely to come in S, S+ and SX (O) trims. The brand is also likely to offer gloss black trim with contrast stitching on the inside. However, equipment such as the 7-inch digital instruments cluster and the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to remain the same. The Creta Knight edition is also likely to come with a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, an air purifier etc.

Hyundai Creta Knight Edition – Engine Options

The Hyundai Creta Knight Edition will likely come with three engine options – 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre oil motor. The SUV is also likely to come with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, 7-speed DCT and an IVT transmission option. The brand also plans to launch a new IMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) variant on the Creta SUV, which could also be used in one of the Knight edition trims.
