Hyundai Alcazar is big on space, but big on mileage too

Hyundai, in June 2021, launched the Alcazar three-row SUV in the Indian market. Even 3 years later, the Alcazar is still popular as a practical & premium family SUV amongst the Indian audience. For the price, the Alcazar offers phenomenal value for money with the space, features, performance, efficiency & safety that it offers.

Space & Dimensions

The Alcazar measures 4,500mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,675mm in height. When it was launched, the Alcazar also came with best-in-segment wheelbase of 2,760mm. This results in spacious interiors for its occupants, a USP that family SUV buyers are looking for. The Alcazar SUV also gets 180-litres of boot space which can accommodate multiple backpacks. Additionally, the second and third row seats can also be laid flat, making room for even more luggage, as well as large items.

Seats & Comfort

The Alcazar also comes with the option of a 6- or 7-seats. Thanks to this, the Alcazar features both uncompromising practicality as well as comfort. In the 6-seat version of the Alcazar, the 3-row SUV comes with features such as captain seats in the middle row along with premium 2nd row console with smartphone wireless charger, storage and cup holders.

The 7-seat version comes with 60:40 split seat on the 2nd-row and 50:50 split seat on the 3rd row. The car also comes with height adjustable headrests on all 3 rows and the driver seat is also height adjustable. In addition to this, higher-spec variants also get an 8-way power adjustable driver seat.

Convenience Features

The Hyundai Alcazar gets air-conditioning vents in all 3-rows and the 3rd row AC vents also comes with three-level speed control. The SUV also gets fully automatic air conditioning, glove-box cooling and rear window sunshade. This helps you keep the cabin cool even during harsh Indian summers. The Hyundai Alcazar also gets a panoramic sunroof offering an all-round view and making the car feel even more airy. Talking about air, the Alcazar also comes with auto air purifier with an AQI display. The air purifier built into the front armrest helps clean the cabin air of the car, reducing the risks of occupants breathing in any allergens.

Engine & Mileage

Hyundai offers the Alcazar with two engine options – a turbo-petrol motor as well as a diesel engine. In its turbo-petrol avatar, the Alcazar features a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine that produces 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque matched to a 7-speed DCT gearbox as well as a 6-speed manual transmission.
