Hyundai Alcazar is as safe as a vault

While purchasing a family car, most buyers would first think about the safety of their loved ones. And since its inception in the mid-90s in India, Hyundai has been known for building safe cars for your market. The brand not only offers top quality materials on its vehicles, but also the latest safety technologies. The Alcazar was introduced over 3 years ago in India, but, the market disruptor came with plenty of safety technologies upon launch, some of which are still better than most rivals.

These include plenty of active and passive safety features such as a cabin air filtration system built into the car’s centre armrest. This feature was the highlight upon launch because the product arrived during the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, the Alcazar also comes with multiple airbags as well as a robust body shell that can absorb crash forces in an unfortunate accident. So let us now deep dive and talk about all the safety features that the Alcazar offers making the SUV as a safe as a vault.

AHSS & Airbags

The Hyundai Alcazar comes with a strong body structure made using AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steel). AHSS is not only capable of absorbing crash forces and dissipating them away from the passenger shell, but also keeps the noise, vibration and harshness in check. In addition to the robust body shell, the Alcazar also comes with driver & passenger airbags as well as side and curtain airbags. This provides the passengers with a safety cocoon in an unfortunate event.

3-Point Seatbelts for All

Furthermore, the Alcazar also comes with 3-point seatbelts on all seats including the middle-seat on the 2nd row. The front seat belts also come with pretensioners and height adjustment. The car also gets seatbelt reminders on all seats as well as ISOFIX child seat anchors in the middle row. The Alcazar also comes with all 4 disc brakes equipped with ABS and EBD. Safety features also include Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management and Hill Start Assist Control assisting the driver. The SUV features a speed-alert system, speed-sensing auto door locks and impact-sensing auto door unlock that helps passengers alight the car in case of an accident.

Cameras All Around

Hyundai also offers the Alcazar with parking assistance features such as front and rear parking sensors as well as a 360-degree camera. The rear camera also comes with steering adaptive parking guidelines and a driver rear view monitor. The Alcazar also comes with a blind view monitor that displays the camera feed from the ORVM on the digital drivers display, reducing blind spots on the 3-row SUV.

Also, the internal rear view mirror is electrochromic and automatically darkens the glass to avoid glare inside the cabin. The Alcazar also comes with automatic tri-beam LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps and honeycomb-LED tail lamps. Furthermore, Hyundai also offers the Alcazar with an emergency stop signal that lights up the hazard lamps under heavy braking. The car also gets a burglar alarm and a dashcam that further enhance the security of the vehicle. The Hyundai Alcazar also comes with an electric parking brake with Auto Hold. Hyundai also offers the Alcazar with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System that alerts the driver in case of a pressure loss in any of the four wheels.

Thanks to features like a strong body shell, airbags, electronic assistance such electronic brake force distribution, stability control and various other safety technologies, the Hyunda Alcazar definitely feels safe as a vault.
