Hyundai adds more safety features on i20, Venue & Creta

Hyundai India brings in yet another update for its range of models. But, this time around, it’s more on the safety aspect as Hyundau has added safety kits in the Creta, Venue and the i20 hatchback.

What Are These Safety Features About?

Hyundai Creta

Hyundai’s most popular midsize SUV, the Creta, is now available with both a 1.5-litre diesel or a 1.5-litre petrol engine. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine is no longer available. The new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol from the Verna will replace the same.

In terms of safety, three-point seatbelts are now a standard fitment across all seats on the Creta. And also the rear seats get adjustable headrests and 60:40 split seats. Another key mention is for those who prefer enjoying the back seat of the Creta. Hyundai has equipped a 2-step recline option. These updates are applicable across all variants of the SUV.

Hyundai i20

As for the Hyundai, i20 Hyundai has fit 3-point seat belts on all seats. And it also benefits from adjustable headrests at the rear. Noteworthy to mention again, these updates are standard across all variants.

Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue which sits below the Creta in the carmaker’s line-up gets similar updates. Three-point seat belts are now standard across all front-facing seats. We also get 60:40 split rear seats, 2-step reclining seats and adjustable rear headrests for all models.

Stringent Safety Regulation For Cars

We are aware of the fact that the Indian government is pushing for stricter safety standards in cars. This also includes a standardised crash test rating for all cars sold in the Indian market. There are chances of making six airbags mandatory on all cars and SUVs as well. In fact we could also see making three-point seat belts compulsory.
