Interesting!

Patents have been filed for the Husqvarna 401 Svartpilen in India. So, is the bike actually coming to our shores in 2016? Well, only time will tell. Patents could be filed just to avoid the design being copied too. So don’t expect some news about this launch immediately. It could also be built in India for exports only.

The 401 Svartpilen will be powered by the KTM Duke 390 engine. The exteriors are retro-styled and the bike looks like its built for dual-purpose, on-road & off-road riding.

401 Svartpilen features:

  • Dual-purpose motorcycle
  • Round, retro-styled headlamp
  • Flat seat
  • Flat tank with a metal bad on top, for luggage carrying ability mostly
  • Exposed chassis
  • Underseat exhaust
  • Upside-down front fork
  • Rear monoshock
  • Front and rear petal disc brake
  • Spoked rims
  • Knobby tyres
  • Short front mud guard
  • Engine sump guard
