Royal Enfield has been extensively testing its upcoming motorcycle range, including a new roadster. Reports in the past have suggested that the brand will christen the new roadster motorcycle ‘Hunter 350’. The motorcycle has been spied multiple times in the Indian market, especially in close proximity to the Chennai-based brand’s production plant. The motorcycle has been spied again in Tamil Nadu, however, this time the Hunter 350 appears to be production-ready. Though the Royal Enfield test mule is still wearing camouflage covers, it appears that the motorcycle has been installed with accessories that are likely to be available when the motorcycle is launched.
According to spy shots, the new Hunter 350 could come with a new backrest as an accessory. In addition to this, Royal Enfield is also likely to offer saddlebag mounts, a choice of seats, windscreens etc., as an option. The Royal Enfield Hunter will also come with a rounded headlamp, teardrop tank, a single piece seat and a short tail section. The motorcycle also comes with a side-slung stubby exhaust. The YouTube video below also reveals the exhaust note of the upcoming Hunter 350.
Powering the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is likely to be the J1D platform. The engine made its debut with the new Meteor 350 and also powers Royal Enfield’s new-generation Classic 350 motorcycle. The Hunter is likely to come with a 349cc single-cylinder long-stroke air-cooled motor. The chain-driven OHC motor produces 20.2 Hp of power and 27 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. Royal Enfield is also likely to offer new running gear such as 35mm front forks and dual gas-charged shock absorbers on the rear. The motorcycle is also likely to come with a single disc on both the front and rear with dual-channel ABS.
Royal Enfield is likely to launch the new Hunter 350 during the 2022 festive season.
