Honda WR-V launched in diesel V variant for INR 9.95 lakh

Honda has introduced a new variant of the WR-V in the diesel V grade along with the S and VX grade with segment-leading features. Honda introduced the WR-V back in 2017 and the car has been well received among customers. The Honda WR-V is now offered in 3 variants – S (Petrol and Diesel), V (Diesel only) and VX (Petrol and Diesel)

The newly introduced models are equipped with exterior features like headlamp integrated LED daytime running lights and position lamps, front fog lamps, ORVM integrated turn signal indicators, chrome door handles, gunmetal finish 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and a rear Micro Antenna.

The interiors on the new grade come with a 17.7cm advanced touchscreen infotainment system with steering mounted controls, along with audio, voice and cruise control system. The new grade models also feature automatic climate control, one push start/stop with red illumination, Honda smart key system with keyless remote, front centre armrest with storage compartment, tilt and telescopic power steering and upgraded black & silver upholstery.

In terms of safety, the new WR-V grade gets Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure, dual SRS front airbags, ABS with EBD, pedestrian injury mitigation technology, rear parking sensors, driver and passenger seatbelt reminder, over speed alert system, intelligent pedal (brake override system) and multi-angle rearview camera with guidelines.

The engine is powered by a 1,199cc, 4-cylinder, SOHC i-VTEC Petrol engine producing 90 PS of power @ 6000 RPM and 110 Nm of torque @ 4800 RPM coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Another 1,498cc, 4-cylinder, DOHC i-DTEC Diesel engine is also on offer which develops 100 PS of power @ 3600 RPM and 200 Nm of torque @ 1750 RPM paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
