Honda has officially announced that the CB300R Neo Sports Cafe is coming to India. Bookings are now open for this all-new motorcycle for INR 5,000 only at select dealerships and the brand confirms that the bike will be priced under INR 2.5 lakh ex-showroom. This will be a CKD motorcycle for the Indian market.
Styled as a modern cafe racer, the CB300R will rival the likes of KTM Duke 390 & BMW G 310 R. The CB300R will be locally assembled in India, and hence, will have a price advantage over competition.
The bike will get a very interesting dark themed styling and will also be the lightest motorcycle in its category. Features will include LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, LED turn indicators, USD front forks, rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, step-up contoured seats, forged levers, multi-spoke alloy wheels, full size exhaust, tank cowls, engine underbelly exhaust, digital instrument console, and some more stuff.
Powering the bike will be a 286cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder motor. The bike is built around a pressed steel tubular chassis. The engine produces 31 BHP of power @ 8500 RPM and 27.5 Nm torque @ 7500 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox.
The ABS unit on the CB300R will get a G-Sensor. The bike will also get an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) which will enhance braking and bike control.
The bike will be launched in a new matte grey and candy red colour.
