Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has posted its September month sales figures. As per the reports, the company registered monthly domestic sales of 8,714 units for the given period. This translates to a growth of 29 per cent over the same period last year. The export numbers for HCIL stood at 2,333 units strong for September’22.
For reference the last year figures were as follows. The company had registered 6,765 units in domestic sales and exported 2,964 units in September 2021. With the opening up of business and easing of pandemic regulations, the sales are now back to pre Covid levels. With the further improvement in the global supply chain, Honda aims to add more sales in the coming days to come. As per industry experts, this momentum is here to stay till the end of this year. Thus, giving the carmakers the perfect opportunity to leverage this demand and boost their sales.
The festive demand has been quite strong and continues to show good momentum. On the supply side, Honda is now able to increase our factory output compared to last month which is also a positive for the festive sales. Thus customers can now expect a better availability of Honda cars during the upcoming Diwali period.
The volume models, Honda City and Amaze continue to sell in good numbers. The newly launched City e:HEV too is giving Honda additional opportunity to serve the customers with advanced electrified mobility solutions. As per the company they are getting exceptional user feedback from the customers of City e:HEV
They are already aware of the fact that Honda is working on a mid SUV for the Indian market. This will primarily compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos and take on the most options in the cut throat competition SUV segment. As per a recent report, Honda has plans to bring the SUv ahead of the 2023 festive season. So, we could say, there’s almost a year left for Honda’s SUV to hit the India roads.
