Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSCI) has posted its recent sales figure. For the month of June 2022, HMSI sold a total of 3,83,882 units. This includes 3,55,560 units for the domestic market and also 28,322 for exports. The figure, when compared to June 2021, stood at 2,32,497 units, which includes 212,453 as domestic sales and 20,044 exports as exports. The rise in sales resulted in a growth of 67 per cent. Honda also mentioned that the growth expectations they set at the beginning of FY’23 are gradually becoming a reality.
Honda is now the first choice of over 20 lac customers in West Bengal. This is quite encouraging and also indicates HMSI’s growing popularity. One of Honda’s best-sellers, Shine, has now crossed the 20 million sales figure in the Central region. The Shine has always been the flag bearer for Honda in the motorcycle segment.
India is witnessing an increase in the popularity of premium motorcycles. Thus, Honda is also aggressively expanding its BigWing outlets. These showrooms offer a much-differentiated experience wherein customers can come and experience the best of Honda. As a part of this expansion drive, Honda also recently inaugurated its Honda BigWing outlets in Puducherry and Perinthalmanna (Kerala).
To attract more customers, Honda has come up with the innovative idea of setting up a bikers’ cafe under the name of ‘Dreamers Cafe’. The place offers a storied history of Honda’s illustrious past in the two-wheeler industry. The location of this cafe is at the company’s Global Resource Factory, Manesar (Haryana).
Keeping up with the road safety initiatives, Honda conducted a road safety summer camp for college students in Delhi. Honda did this with the support of the Delhi Traffic Police. In addition to this, Honda has also conducted road awareness programs at other locations. This includes Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Jaipur (Rajasthan) and Nurpur (Himachal Pradesh). The company also celebrated the 8th anniversary of the Road Safety & Traffic Training Park in Bhubaneswar (Odisha).
