Honda sold 3,12,621 two-wheelers in February 2022

Honda 2Wheelers India sold a total of 3,12,621 units for February 2022. The figure breaks down as 2,85,677 units for the domestic market; meanwhile, the export figure stood at 26,944 units. The figure for the same period last year stood at 4,11,622 units. Top sellers like Activa and Shine continue to extend their market. Given the rising demand for electric vehicles, there are some talks of an electric version of the Active. Although we do not have any official confirmation as of yet, there are rumours suggesting that Active-E could be under consideration.

Owning a H’ness CB350 and CB350RS gets easier. Both the motorcycles are now purchasable through 35 CSD Depots all across the country. This is a great step, especially for the defence personnel who are planning to buy these motorcycles. Honda’s BigWing Network continues to extend its reach to new areas across the country. Honda added new dealerships in Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh), Belagavi (Karnataka) and Pune (Maharashtra). This makes owning a BigWing motorcycle easier and more accessible, thus helping to boost sales.

Carrying ahead with its Road Safety programme, Honda 2Wheelers India inaugurated its 3rd Skill Enhancement Centre at Malviya Nagar (New Delhi). This has come up with a collaboration with Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), New Delhi. This centre will act as a great platform for the empowerment of local youth with job-oriented technical skills.

Honda Repsol is fully prepared for the upcoming 2022 MotoGP. Honda has retained both its riders for the 2021 season. Thus, the team of 2022 Honda Repsol continues with Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro. At the domestic level, season, IDEMITSU Honda SK69 Racing Team’s Rajiv Sethu clinched 3rd position in the 2021 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship PS165cc category. Meanwhile, Chennai’s Kavin Quintal and Bokaro’s Prakash Kamat won the 2021 IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R and Cbr150R categories, respectively.
