Honda to showcase PCX Electric Concept for 1st time in India at Auto Expo 2018

At the upcoming Auto Expo 2018 in India next week, Honda will be unveiling the PCX Electric concept in for the first time on our shores. While this power scooter makes use of an electric motor developed by Honda, it has a pair of batteries kept under the seat which can be removed within seconds and swap with fully charged ones. So if you have a spare battery which is charged, you don’t have to worry about the range.

Honda first revealed the PCX Electric concept at the Tokyo Motor show earlier, and reveals that this product will be ready for a market launch for the Asian countries in 2018. However, it remains to be seen if this product comes to India.

Honda is known to reveal plenty of products here in India, but nothing exciting like the PCX ever has reached the showrooms. Honda had previously revealed a petrol-powered PCX scooter for the Indian market. But, that still is nowhere near an Indian launch.

So even if this concept is revealed to us, we don’t have high hopes that it will be available for purchase anytime soon.

Honda will have a total of 11 new products on display at the Auto Expo 2018 next week. These will include a product refresh of 6 of the current line-up, and 4 new high performance models will come to our market in their new generation along with a few others on display.
