Honda reveals new CRF190L adventure motorcycle

Sundiro Honda in China is planning to introduce a new small-capacity adventure motorcycle in the Chinese market. The bike is dubbed CRF190L and comes with an upright adventure motorcycle demeanour. The Honda CRF190L is likely to go on sale in China from late September 2021. The motorcycle will target the mindshare who wish to own an adventure touring motorcycle but mostly use the bike for daily commutes and weekend exploration.

Honda CRF190L – Design Highlights

The Honda CRF190L comes with an upright front fairing similar to enduro motorcycles. The bike gets a rectangular double-stacked headlamp and a tall windscreen to protect the rider from wind and weather. The CRF190L also comes with a boomerang-shaped side fairing and tank extensions. The bike also features a large comfortable seat and a pillion grabrail integrated with a top box mount. The Honda CRF190L will also come with mid-set footpegs, an upright handlebar, and a commanding seating position to offer ergonomics for both day-to-day urban rides and riding off-road on the weekends.

Honda CRF190L – Technical Specifications

Honda is likely to offer the same 184cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that performs duty on the Honda Hornet 2.0 and the recently launched Honda CB200X. The motor on the CB200X produces 17.3 PS of power and 16.1 Nm of torque. But the CRF190L appears to come with uprated suspension and wheels. The motorcycle will come with a long travel front and rear suspension, as well as spoke-wire rims, shod in knobby tyres. The Honda CB200X comes with the same upside-down suspension as the Hornet 2.0, the same ground clearance as the roadster and alloy wheels. But the tyres on the CB200X are upgraded to dual sport rubber.

Will the Honda CRF190L come to India?

Honda may not bring the CRF190L to the Indian market anytime soon. While the adventure segment is currently booming, there are only a few motorcycle models that cater to the demand. But if Honda brings the CRF190L to India, it will directly compete with the Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
