Sarthak Chavan, a Honda Racing India rider, sets a new record by securing a podium finish at Thailand Talent Cup 2022 Round 2. In the second race of the round, Sarthak made a top 5 finish. Sarthak started the race from 12th place on the grid. The wet racing conditions were quite challenging for the riders. But, with his experience, Sarthak put on a great fight against the other fine Asian riders. He finished the race in third place, just 0.583 seconds behind the race leader.

Sarthak’s 16-year-old teammate, Kavin Quintal, was also out on a great show in the race. In the very first lap, he overtook five riders. Kavin fought off the stiff competition and closed at 9th position with a total time of 29:50.642. Both the riders made a significant impact in the competition. This shows a change happening in the Indian motorsports scenes. Riders are now getting much more competitive with improved support from all directions. Honda is also a major contributor to this success. This also proves the positive development of the Indian riders, thus making them ready for the international level.
