More Details of the Honda Hawk 11 Cafe Racer
The Honda Hawk 11 Cafe Racer is based on the same platform as the Africa Twin. The overall design of the bike is said to be of a neo-retro themed cafe racer.
First showcased at the 2022 Osaka Motor Show, this bike can be said to be the successor of the now discontinued CB1100 Roadster.
Coming to the design, it pays homage to the erstwhile cafe racers. But at the same time it gets a modem design language. There is a circular LED headlamp, a bikini fairing and round ORVMs amongst others.
The Hawk 11 gets a short sub-frame and a partially exposed frame. The front shock absorbers consist of upside-down front forks along with dual disks foe braking. It also gets alloy wheels and tubeless tyres as standard. The exhaust is a stubby unit with an upward slope, that matches the subframe angle.
Powertrain of the Honda Hawk 11 Cafe Racer
It gets the same engine as that from the Honda Africa Twin. This 1,082cc parallel-twin engine develops 100 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 104 Nm @ 6,250 rpm. The engine gets liquid cooling. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox.
The Hawk 11 Cafe Racer is now the 3rd bike after the Africa Twin and NT1100 to use the same platform.
Price and Launch plans
In Japan, the Honda Hawk 11 is priced at INR 8.94 lakh. After accounting for taxes, and other duties, we can expect Honda to price this bike around INR 12.00 lakh.
That said, Honda has not yer confirmed the launch of this bike for India. It’s also possible that Honda has filed a patent just to protect its name in India.
