Honda could be planning to introduce the new CRF190L in the Indian market. The brand has already filed design patents for the CRF190L at the Indian intellectual property office. This could either mean that Honda is planning to introduce the motorcycle in the Indian market, or this could just be a patent protection exercise. Honda could have filed the patent for the future and also to protect the design in India. However, looking at the booming adventure market in India, Honda could introduce the CRF190L to compete with the Hero Xpulse 200 4V, among others. Honda has not yet revealed any plans to introduce the CRF190L in the Indian market.
The Honda CRF190L adventure motorcycle features an upright design language and a dual-tone paint theme inspired by the Africa Twin. The CRF190L features a rectangular headlamp and tall touring style windscreen. The bike also comes with boomerang-shaped side panels and a muscular fuel tank area. The CRF190L will also come with a long bench seat and a high-mount exhaust. The motorcycle also comes with a wide handlebar, knuckle guards, mid-set-footpegs and a pillion grabrail integrated with a top box mount.
Powering the Honda CRF190L is a 184cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. The motor produces 17 Bhp of power and 16.1 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The Honda CRF190L rides on conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock suspension on the rear. The motorcycle also comes with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels. Braking power comes from disc brakes on both the ends. If the brand launches the CRF190L, it is likely to share the engine with the CB200X/Hornet 2.0. However, thanks to the long-travel suspension and the off-road bits, the CRF190L will be able to create its own market.
