At the Indian Auto Expo 2018, Honda revealed a new motorcycle, the X-Blade. This one however, is not a concept, and the real deal. The Japanese manufacturer has revealed that bookings for the new X-Blade are open, and the bike will be priced at Rs. 79,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
This is the 4th brand new model from Honda in the current financial year. Deliveries of the new X-Blade will commence from mid-March 2018.
The X-Blade is a sporty 160cc motorcycle for the premium commuter segment, and comes with plenty of features to attract buyers. The bike sports a full LED headlamp, dual outlet silencer, link type gear shifter, split grab rails, alloy wheels, front disc brakes, tyre hugger, sporty tank cowl, small windscreen & body graphics
Powering the motorcycle will be the tried & tested 162.71cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, BSIV compliant HET engine. Although this engine is also seen on the Hornet, the X-Blade is slightly underpowered producing 13.9 HP & 13.9 Nm compared to 15 HP & 14.76 Nm on the former.
The new X-Blade also comes with features such as service reminder, gear position indicator, 130 section rear tubeless tyre & 5 body colour options – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic / Matte Frozen Silver Metallic / Pearl Spartan Red / Pearl Igneous Black and Matte Marshal Green Metallic.
