Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has posted its sales figure for April 2022. The two-wheeler maker sold a total of 3,61,027 units for the given period. The total includes 318,732 two-wheeler sales in the domestic market and 42,295 units for exports. When compared to April 2021, which stood at 2,40,101 units, there has been a year-over-year growth of 33 per cent. Honda India mentioned that they are witnessing a recovery in sales as the businesses open up.

Along with this, other factors like the harvesting period and the opening up of schools and colleges are also adding to the sales volume. Given the sales recovery, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is anticipating double-digit growth in Q1. However, the company has raised its concerns regarding the supply side issues and global economic scenario that may hamper production.

Key Highlights Of April 2022

Having a stronghold of business in India, Honda has laid down its future roadmap for India. The aim is to focus on overseas export business expansion, alternative mobility and a broader Entry-Level Motorcycle portfolio. Honda celebrated the 1st anniversary of H’ness CB350 and CB350RS by organising a first-of-its-kind customer appreciation event at its Global Resource Factory, Manesar. This event was quite successful as it received an overwhelming response from the CB350 series owners’ community.

Honda fans in India received their share of happiness as the 2022 Gold Wing Tour arrived in India via a completely built-up (CBU) route from Japan. Given the rising demand for Honda’s range of two-wheelers, the dealership is also growing. In April, Honda added BigWing showrooms in Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh), Ulhasnagar (Maharashtra), and BigWing Topline (300-1800cc) in Kolkata (West Bengal). Taking its stand strong in the road safety department, HMSI celebrated seven glorious years of its Traffic Training Park in Hyderabad.

In addition to this, the company continued to spread awareness regarding road safety across the country. In Motorsports, Repsol Honda riders Marc Marquez and Pol Esparagro fought their hardest with an aim to reach the top as Marquez finished at the fourth position. At the same time, Pol Espargaro collected the eleventh place in Round 6th at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain.
