Honda launches new limited edition Dio Sports scooter

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has introduced a new limited edition model of its popular scooter, Dio. The Japanese brand is calling the new model Dio Sports. Honda says the new model will be available for a limited period only. However, there’s no word on the number of units Honda will produce.

The new limited edition Dio Sports will be available at all Red Wing dealerships across the country. Thus, interested customers can experience the new edition at their nearest Red Wing dealerships.

Honda Dio Sports – Variants, Colours & Price

The new limited edition comes in two variants – Standard and Deluxe. The Deluxe variant gets all the features from the Standard variant and also adds alloy wheels on top of it.

Both the variants will be available with two colour options – Strontium Silver Metallic with Black and Sports Red with Black. The Strontium Silver Metallic colour option has blue-coloured graphics, while the Sports Red with Black has red-coloured graphics.

The price range starts from INR 68,317 ex-showroom for the Standard variant. Meanwhile, the Deluxe variant comes with a sticker price of INR 73,317 ex-showroom. 

Honda Dio Sports – Highlights

Honda has styled the new Dio Sports with new camouflage graphics and a sporty red rear suspension. Further enhancing the looks are the two new colour options that are exclusive to the limited edition. Honda says the Dio Sports announce an aggressive and sporty vibe. Furthermore, the enhanced design language will appeal to unisex customers. 

Powering the Dio Sports is Honda’s tried-and-tested 110cc PGM-Fi engine with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. As for features, it gets an Integrated Dual Function Switch, External Fuel Lid, Headlight Pass Switch and a Side-Stand Indicator with engine cut-off function. The instrument cluster also gets a 3-Step Eco Indicator for better fuel efficiency. 

The Dio Sports comes with a telescopic suspension at the front and a 3-step adjustable rear suspension. The sporty scooter gets drum brakes at both ends, which also features Honda’s Combi-Brake System (CBS) with an equalizer.
