Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced yet another sales milestone. The two-wheeler maker has now crossed the 40 lakh units mark. The story started in 2001 when Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India began operations with its maiden two-wheeler Activa. It took Honda a good 16 years to delight its first 20 lakh customers in Uttar Pradesh. Further, the demand for two-wheelers continued to drive India’s growth story, and so did Honda’s story.
HMSI has now successfully doubled its customers by adding the recent 20-lakh customers in just six years, which is quite remarkable. Noteworthy to mention that Activa 6G & Shine leads the demand for scooters and motorcycles in Uttar Pradesh. And this is the case with most other markets as well. Thus, with this milestone, HMSI now gives the joy of riding to over 40 Lac two-wheeler customers in the state.
