2023 Ducati Scrambler revealed, lighter & gets more tech

Ducati has unveiled the 2023 Scrambler range of motorcycles. The announcement comes just ahead of the EICMA 2022.

2023 Ducati Scrambler gets few mechanical changes along with improved electronics. Ducati is offering the Scrambler in 3 guises – Icon, Full Throttle and Nightshift.

Design of the 2023 Ducati Scrambler

The new machine is now lower on the weight scales by 4 kg. This is due to a new lightweight subframe that is bolt-on and new engine components. Ducati has also redesigned almost all the panels on the bike including the tank, side panel, seat and the swing arm. The bike also gets new LED headlight that is standard across the range.

While the Icon is the entry to the brand Scrambler, the Full Throttle is the sportier varaint. The Nighshift meanwhile gets a flat handlebar with bar-end rear view mirrors and wire-spoke rims. The Scrambler Nightshift is offered in only a single colour option – Nebula Blue.

Features of the 2023 Ducati Scrambler

In term of electronics upgrade, the bike now gets electronic throttle, Road and Wet riding modes, a traction control system, and cornering ABS. Information to the rider is provided by a new 4.3-inch colour TFT display. There is an optional Bluetooth module as well which can connect to your phone and display navigation and notifications.

Engine of the 2023 Ducati Scrambler

The new Scrambler range gets an 803cc, air/oil-cooled, dual-valve Desmoduo engine that is rated at 73 BHP @ 8,250 rpm and 65 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed transmission.

Launch in India

While Ducati hasn’t revealed the Indian launch date yet, we can expect a 2023 unveil. Ducati will not miss out on this brand in India as from a pricing point of view, these bike sit at the entry level of the Ducati line-up in India. For many riders, the Scrambler range serves as a way to own the Ducati brand.
