Honda has announced the opening of pre bookings for the Elevate SUV. Customers can book the car online or at a dealership near them. The token amount is set at INR 21,000. The launch and the deliveries are meanwhile scheduled from September 2023.
The front end of the Elevate is dominated by a large grille. The SUV comes with a boxy design as well as slight crossover appeal. Honda has achieved this by using a few design elements. Other features include sleek all-LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and turn signals.
The interiors of the Honda Elevate consist of a more upmarket design. This is unlike the City or the Jazz. The car comes with a dual tone dashboard. It is finished in brown and black with leather upholstery as well.
The Elevate comes with a sunroof, a large 10.25-inch touchscreen system (with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and more. We can also expect this new Honda SUV to get wireless charging pad and ventilated front seats.
Honda is also offering Honda Sensing – Its suite of ADAS features. This includes automatic emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control, lane assist and high-beam assist amongst others. Other safety features include 6 airbags, ESC, hill hold, hill descent (AT only) and ISO-FIX child seat mounts
This new SUV is powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Honda City. This motor develops 121 PS and 145 Nm. Customers will be able to choose from a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. That said, there is no diesel on offer. Honda could also offer City’s 1.5-litre hybrid powertrain on this SUV at a later date. There is no official word on it however.
