Honda has updated its official India website and removed the diesel-powered Honda CR-V from its product portfolio in India leaving the Honda CR-V with only one petrol option priced at INR 28,27,001 ex-showroom, Delhi.
The diesel-powered Honda CR-V was powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produced 120 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque matched to a 9-speed automatic transmission along with an optional four-wheel-drive system. The petrol engine, however, is only available with a two-wheel driveline and the four-wheel-drive system has also been dropped along with the diesel engine.
The Honda CR-V was updated in 2018 and is currently in its 5th generation. The SUV measures 4,592mm in length, 1,855mm in width, 1,679mm in height along with the wheelbase of 2,660mm and a seating capacity that accommodates 5 people. The SUV comes with sharp-featured full LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, bar-style LED front fog lamps integrated into the bumper, silver skid plate, chrome-accented horizontal slated grille, raised bonnet lines, muscular shoulder lines, flared wheel arches, chrome window beltline, silver roof rails, 18-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, shark-fin antenna, panoramic sunroof, L-shaped LED combination tail lamps, chrome tailgate embellishment etc.
On the inside, the Honda CR-V features a layered dashboard with contemporary styling accented with wooden embellishments on the dashboard, the central tunnel and the door pads, raised transmission tunnel with a chunky gear selector, satin silver accents around the cabin, full-colour TFT digital instruments cluster with driver attention monitor, steering mounted controls for the infotainment, telephony & cruise control, centrally mounted 17.8-cm touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay integration, leather upholstery etc.
In the engine department, the current Honda CR-V for sale is powered by a BS6 emissions-compliant 2.0-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder 4-valve/cylinder SOHC petrol engine that makes 154 PS of power and 189 Nm of torque matched to a CVT automatic gearbox and two-wheel driveline.
