Honda Cars India Ltd has launched a new festive edition of the popular City sedan. The Honda City Elegant edition is based on the V variant and comes with both manual and automatic gearbox.
For starters, the Honda City Elegant Edition comes with few add ons like the trunk spoiler with LED, front fender garnish, Elegant Edition badge amongst others on the outside.
Meanwhile, the updates on the inside include a wireless charger (plug and play type), Elegant Edition seat cover, sleek step illumination, and interior footwell lamp.
Apart from these, the car continues with features like an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, automatic climate control, 6 Airbags and more.
Further, the car comes with ADAS features. This includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking even on the petrol variants. Earlier, ADAS was available only on the Honda City Hybrid. Another highlight is a new feature to the ADAS tech in the City Hybrid called the “Low-Speed Follow” function. This enables the driver to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. City facelift also gets a “Lead Car Departure Notification System” that alerts the driver when the car in front starts moving.
Honda is only offering the City with the 121 HP, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
Meanwhile, the City is no longer offered with the 1.5-litre diesel engine. This comes ahead of the upcoming Real Driving Emission (RDE) norms.
The Honda City facelift will take on the other C-segment sedans. This includes the likes of Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Hyundai Verna.
