Honda has launched the CD110 Dream BS6 commuter segment motorcycle in India priced starting from INR 64,505 ex-showroom, Delhi. The Honda CD110 Dream comes in two variants – Standard and Deluxe. The Honda CD110 Dream Deluxe BS6 costs INR 1,000 more than the standard and is priced at INR 65,505 ex-showroom, Delhi.
In terms of styling, the Honda CD110 Dream features a DC halogen headlamp for constant illumination, body-coloured headlight shroud with integrated flyscreen, upright handlebars, body-coloured mirrors, tank and side cowl graphics, longer and comfortable seats, forward set foot pegs, chrome exhaust heat shield, silver & black finished engine, Black/Silver-finished alloy wheels, chrome grab rail with integrated tail rack etc.
The Honda CD110 Dream is powered by BS6 standards-compliant 109.51cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, single spark engine with PGM-FI that produces 8.6 Hp of power and 9.3 Nm of torque paired to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch.
The new BS6 compliant engine features Honda’s new Unique Honda ACG Starter that starts the engine via the same AC generator used to generate current and charge the battery while riding. To reduce the starter’s effort the engine comes with a decompressor that slightly opens the exhaust valve at the beginning of the power stroke as well as a Swing Back feature that rotates the engine slightly in the opposite direction to give it a running start.
The new engine also comprises of new friction reduction technology with an offset cylinder and roller rocker arms with needle bearings along with piston cooling jets that ensure reduced frictional loss and improve cooling efficiency. The advanced engine with Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection technology improves mileage along with NVH levels. Furthermore, the Honda CD110 Dream also features HET tubeless tyre which comes with Low Rolling Resistance quotient reducing frictional loss while maintaining optimum road grip.
The Honda CD110 Dream also features equipment such as an integrated Engine Start/Stop Switch which acts as an engine Kill Switch when pressed up and starts the engine when pressed down. Similarly, an integrated headlamp beam & passing switch controls high beam/low beam & passing, from one single switch.
On the mechanical front, the Honda CD110 Dream features a diamond type frame that rides on telescopic hydraulic front fork suspension, coil-spring assisted twin hydraulic shock absorbers on the rear and 130mm internally expanding drum brakes armed with a Combi-Brake System (CBS) with equalizer. The bike also features a sealed drive chain which needs less frequent adjustments and low maintenance.
