Honda CBR300R coming by March 2015?

We all by now know that Honda has stopped full-scale production of the CBR250R, that’s because the replacement, the CBR300R is on its way to the Indian marketplace. Rumours now suggest that the bike might arrive to your nearest Honda showrooms by or before March 2015.

The CBR300R will be powered by a bigger 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled, 4-stroke motor producing 30.4 BHP of power and 27 Nm of torque. Engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and fuel will be delivered via EFI. The new bike also weighs 8 kg lesser than the outgoing model and hence, the power to weight ratio will be on the positive side. Without any doubt, expect Honda to offer an optional / standard C-ABS system for a safe commute.

Features:

  • Revised full-fairing
  • Dual headlamp setup, much like the bigger Fireblade
  • Telescopic front fork
  • Rear monoshock
  • Front & rear disc brakes
  • Same digital + analogue speedometer, with a different backlit
  • Rear end remains nearly identical
  • New longer exhaust wrapped in chrome
  • 5-spoke alloy wheels in black
  • New body decals
  • New colours

Pricing is expected to increase roughly by Rs. 20,000.
