Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) brings in the ‘Extended Warranty Plus (EW Plus)’ programme. This is an advanced iteration of its extended warranty offering. Customers can now use this across all scooter and motorcycle models up to the 250cc segment.
What Is This Extended Warranty All About?
This initiative will enable the customers to acquire an extended warranty. This offer is applicable within a flexible window. The eligibility window is 91 days to the ninth year from the date of vehicle purchase. This programme will give customers a comprehensive 10-year warranty coverage. In addition to this, it also offers renewal options that remain valid even with transferable in the event of a change in ownership.
The enhanced ‘Extended Warranty Plus’ gets comprehensive coverage for crucial high-value engine components. In addition to that, it also includes other essential mechanical and electrical parts. The EW Plus programme will offer customers three flexible options. There is a 3-year policy for vehicles up to the seventh year of age. Then they have a 2-year policy for vehicles in their 8th year. And there’s a 1-year policy for vehicles in their 9th year. In terms of mileage, these options provide coverage for up to 1,20,000 kilometres for all scooter models and up to 130,000 kilometres for all motorcycle models.
‘Extended Warranty Plus’ Aims To Elevate Ownership Experience
This ‘Extended Warranty Plus’ programme aims to add to the ownership experience to great heights. Honda claims this is the industry’s first offering to offer extended warranty scope of up to 10 years, including high-value parts. With numerous benefits, this programme aims to revolutionise customer retention and enhance the overall experience. Honda customers can conveniently avail of this service at any authorised Honda service centre. Pricing starts from as low as INR 1,317 for models up to 150cc. Meanwhile, it retails for INR 1,667 for 150cc to 250cc models. The pricing structure will vary based on the purchase year of the vehicle, thus ensuring flexibility and affordability for all customers.
