Honda 2Wheelers, which recently crossed the 70 lakh mark in terms of the number of customers in Northern India announces its sales report for February 2021. The company maintained its positive sales growth momentum for the 7th consecutive month and reported sales of 4,11,578 units in the domestic market which translates to a 31% jump when compared to the same period last year. The export figure is also on the rise with Honda 2Wheelers reporting a 16% jump, exporting 31,118 units of which maximum were BS6 models. In total sales, Honda 2Wheelers registered a jump from 3,42,021 units last year to 4,42,696 units this year which translates to a growth of 29%. Honda is now the first choice of two-wheeler brand for about 1.5 crore customers in the South region. The recently launched H’ness CB350 touched the 10,000 sales mark in just 3 months since its launch back in October 2020.
Honda 2Wheelers’ premium showroom brand, ‘BigWing’ is spreading its reach to newer locations across the country. Recently, Honda 2Wheelers added three new BigWing showrooms in Siliguri, Vadodara and Thane. With that, the total count of premium showrooms across the country stands at 5 for BigWing Topline and 18 for BigWing. Honda launched the CB350RS which will add a new chapter to the CB legacy. The motorcycle gets a host of first-in-segment features like assist and slipper clutch, advanced digital-analogue meter and Honda Selectable Torque Control. Honda 2Wheelers has put on a sticker price of INR 1,96,000 for the CB350RS. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer also mentions that the delivery of the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports motorcycle has been initiated.
Honda 2Wheelers is led by Activa, which is its highest selling product and also the top-selling scooter in the Indian market. After the stringent BS-6 norms kicked in, Honda 2Wheelers revamped its lineup for the products to meet the new emission norms. Under the motorcycle segment, currently, there are 7 offerings namely CD 110 Dream, Unicorn, X-Blade, Livo, SP 125, Shine and Hornet 2.0. Honda will look into adding more products to its current lineup to remain relevant in the market and give tough competition to its rival brands.
