Hero XPulse 200 with ABS to be priced under INR 1 lakh, launch in 2018 confirmed

Hero MotoCorp has confirmed that the XPulse 200 motorcycle, a bigger replacement for the Impulse will be officially launched in the second half of 2018. The brand is preparing the product for a launch, and this will make it the most affordable adventure tourer motorcycle in the market. The second most affordable after the XPulse 200 will be the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Hero MotoCorp also mentions that the XPulse 200 will have a price tag of under INR 1 lakh. This will increase the appeal of the product to a wider audience. The XPulse 200 will be priced at a slight premium of the Xtreme 200R.

Powering the Hero XPulse 200 will be a 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-stroke motor producing 18.4 PS of power and 17.1 Nm of peak torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. While power figures do not seem to be very exciting, do remember, this bike will be lighter by almost 50 kg compared to the Himalayan which produces 24.5 BHP of power.

The XPulse 200 will be loaded with features as per segment standards. This adventure tourer will come equipped with switchable dual-channel ABS, knuckle guards, LED headlamp & tail lamp, front fly screen, luggage mounts, digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity, dual purpose tyres, spoked rims, rear monoshock, 220mm ground clearance, upswept exhaust, etc.

Exciting enough? The Impulse does have a decent amount of fan following. So we’re expecting the XPulse 200 to also create some noise in the market when it is launched.
