Hero Splendor Pro Classic launched at Rs. 53,900

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Splendor Pro Classic in India at a price of Rs. 53,900 (on-road Delhi). This café racer inspired variant is expensive by Rs. 4,000 than the Splendor+ and Rs. 1,000 than the Splendor Pro.

The Splendor Pro Classic was revealed at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. It uses the same 97.2cc engine producing 7.7 BHP of power and 8.04 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and does not get any mechanical changes.

On the styling front, the most noticeable change on this Splendor variant is the single seat with a cowl over the pillion seat section in red. Decals are on the minimum side and the bike gets spoked rims. The front mudguard is a shiny chrome unit and also, the exhaust pipe gets a long chrome heat shield. Headlamp skips the fairing and has a round unit with a chrome surround. Rear view mirrors also get chrome treatment and are round in shape. Turn indicators too are small round units and get amber lens, instead of the current-age clear lens indicators. Handlebar is a single pipe, bent to resemble a clip-on unit. Instrument cluster is a twin-dial unit with speedometer on the LHS and a fuel gauge on the RHS. AT the back, it has a round tail lamp unit on a chrome rear mudguard.

Visually, the Splendor Pro Classis is more of an aftermarket job, and will try and attract customers who wish to ride a café racer styled motorcycle for a relatively cheaper price tag.
