Hero MotoCorp’s new Xpulse 210 continues extreme road testing

Hero MotoCorp has started testing its upcoming adventure motorcycle, the Xpulse 210. The bike has been spotted undergoing rigorous road testing in various challenging terrains, signaling its readiness to tackle off-road conditions.

Design and Features

The Xpulse 210, an evolution of the popular Xpulse 200, boasts a more robust and muscular design. It features a round LED headlight, a small visor, and a rugged build. The bike’s larger dimensions compared to its predecessor suggest enhanced stability and comfort for long rides.

Key features expected in the Xpulse 210 include:

  • LED Headlight: Ensuring better visibility during night rides.
  • Fully Digital Display: Offering comprehensive information at a glance.
  • Smartphone Connectivity: Allowing riders to stay connected on the go.
  • Ride Modes and ABS: Enhancing safety and adaptability to different riding conditions.

Engine and Performance

At the heart of the Xpulse 210 is a 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, borrowed from the Karizma 210. This engine is expected to deliver around 25.15 bhp and 20.4 Nm of torque, providing a significant boost in performance over the Xpulse 200. The engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox. The Xpulse 210 aims to offer better highway riding capabilities, with a higher top speed and adequate power at higher revs.

Suspension and Braking

The bike’s suspension setup includes long-travel telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear, designed to absorb shocks from rough terrains. The braking system comprises front and rear disc brakes mounted on spoke wheels with tubed tires, ensuring reliable stopping power in various conditions.

Testing and Launch

Hero MotoCorp has been extensively testing the Xpulse 210 in diverse environments, including the challenging routes en route to Khardungla, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. This extreme testing phase is crucial to ensure the bike’s durability and performance under the most demanding conditions. The Xpulse 210 is expected to debut in the Indian market soon, with a price tag higher than the current Xpulse 200.
