Good news for the ones looking to get the Hero XPulse 4V. Hero is all set to roll out a significant update soon for the XPulse 200 4V. As part of this, Hero MotorCorp is offering the motorcycle with riding modes. Along with this, we will also get a slew of other updates. Recently, the manufacturer released this info via a small video clip on its official social media platform.
In this clip, we can see the changing riding modes. These are namely, Road, Off-Road and Rally. This is available on the right side of the digital instrumentation on an XPulse 200. The riding modes will benefit from different ABS settings as per the need. Currently, Hero offers the XPulse only with single-channel ABS. Leaving apart the updated version that gets dual-channel ABS as standard.
Depending on the selected ride mode, the ABS will change its behaviour. For say, Full ABS in Road mode, Rear ABS off in Off-Road mode and complete ABS off in Rally mode. We can also expect different engine maps between modes, but Hero has not revealed any official statements regarding the same. The reason is the inclusion of an RBW (Ride-By-Wire) system. We are also expecting some changes to the ECU and some additional components. All of which will greatly affect XPulse’s attractive price tag. With these updates, we are sure that the updated XPulse 200 4V will put on some weight. The key reason is the larger dual-channel ABS control unit.
But that’s not all! The dual-purpose motorcycle will also benefit from an updated headlamp. From the looks of it, they seem larger in dimensions. Thus we can expect better illumination of the road at night. This is a concern that Hero seems to have worked on. As it was a major negative feedback from existing XPulse owners. Furthermore, we are also expecting some cosmetic updates in the form of new decals and colour schemes.
